More than 6,500 registered in the first FIFA football agent exam

More than 6,500 people signed up for the first FIFA exam for football agents, which will allow them to obtain a license, which is mandatory to carry out the activity from October, the organization announced today.

The test, in which 6,586 candidates from 138 FIFA member federations registered, is scheduled for April 19, with more tests planned in September this year, and in May and November 2024.

“The large number of applications we received shows that there are many people around the world interested in working within a market with well-defined rules, which will provide more security to the various football agents”, said Emílio Garcia Silvero, director of legal services at FIFA.

The new FIFA football agents regulation, which imposes the reduction of maximum commissions received, the prohibition of dual representation or the return to a global licensing system, was approved on December 16, 2022, and came into force in January 9th, starting the process of obtaining licenses.
