“Criticism? I want to end my career here”

Despite some Italian media outlets predicting his departure at the end of the season, Maurizio Sarri has stated that he wants to end his career at Lazio.

Statements made by the Biancoceleste coach before the match on the fourth day of the Champions League group stage against Feyenoord: “I don’t care about criticism, I don’t hear anything. I hear rumors that I’m going to leave at the end of the season. If the rumors go away, they spread more than my words, that bothers me a lot because I always said the opposite. I always said I wanted to stay for a long time and finish my career here”.

To then add: “It’s certainly not a difficult start to the season that will change my mind, we are all fighting together: the club, the players and the Lazio fans. I’m not going to change my mind about this, so I regret that my words have less value than the rumors that were accidentally spread.”
