Benfica draws with Casa Pia despite Trubin’s hellish performance
Casa Pia imposed a 1-1 draw against Benfica this Saturday at Estádio da Luz, in a game from matchday nine of the I Football League, in which they even wasted a penalty.
The ‘reds’, who were coming from a defeat for the Champions League and saw a run of seven consecutive victories for the championship interrupted, were still ahead, with a goal from João Mário, in the 44th, but Casa Pia, who saw Felippe miss a penalty in the 54th minute – allowed Trubin to save -, equalized in the 81st, through Gaizka Larrazabal.
Despite the draw, Benfica reaches the provisional leadership of the championship, with 22 points, the same as Sporting, second and who plays on Monday at Boavista’s home, while Casa Pia is 10th, with 10.
